A Long Legged: Avocet Bird

An avocet is a several type of shorebirds belonging to the genus family of Recurvirostridae. Avocets have boldly contrasting plumage, long bluish legs, and a long black bill upturned at the tip.

Birds called avocet make forage on shallow water and salt water or mud dunes. This bird often prefers to keep its habitat near water so that it can eat insects and small insect moths.
