Seeing the revenues from LT Cap Gains taxes from Securities,the Govt as a huge owner/promoter of listed Securities would benefit much more by abolishing this tax.The surge in market caps of Govt owned companies could be used to raise Rs 10,000 crores a year by small OFSs.
