Thanks for taking the time to reply. You do not have to show the whole link in the text, that is the beauty of the markup language used on this platform.
If you were to put [ ] brackets around the text 'this link' and put the actualink in ( ) brackets behind it, the 'this link' text will show up as a link and people can check where you are sending them by hovering over the link before clicking it.
