CRYPTO AIRDROP

Hello great steemians, in my last post, I said I was going to share this with us, and here I am keeping to my word.

WHAT IS AN AIRDROP

Airdrop is nothing like the image you probably have in your head of an air plane dropping coins from the sky.

Airdrops are used to provide essential supplies to people that are trapped whenever any of form of crises occur which poses a threat to them where there lands are difficult to access.

But in the crypto world, airdrop has an entirely different meaning.

Airdrop are free tokens distributed to the crypto community by a blockchain project to early adopters for free.

Whenever there is an airdrop, a specified period of time and number of persons needed are given,the airdrop becomes over once the target is reached, that is why is advisable to apply early as other persons are applying before the specified number required is reached.

WHY WOULD A BLOCKCHAIN PROJECT GIVE AWAY TOKENS FOR FREE?

Let's look at it this way

As a producer who is producing a similar product that it's alternatives are in the market, giving out your new product for free to people is an avenue to market it, getting people to know that such product is available, since it's for free, a lot of be people would be interested in it, the product will tend to appreciate being in the possession of lots of people.

And once that happens, people will start trading it and also buying it. That's just the concept.

In other words :

• Airdrop is an avenue to create awareness about a blockchain's ICO or token.

• It brings people to the project that may never get to hear about it.

• The worth of the token may tend to appreciate through this medium.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO SIGN UP FOR AN AIRDROP.

1. You need to have an ERC-20 non-exchange wallet, this simply means any wallet that supports the Ethereum blockchain system. We have coinomi, imtoken, the most preferred "myetherwallet" and some others. You can download any of this from your Google play store.

This wallet address is where your coins would be sent to, and you can store them there.

1. You will need to have:

• A bitcointalk.org account

• A telegram account

• Facebook account

• Twitter account

• Instagram account

• An email address

WHAT YOU MAY NEED TO DO TO GET THIS TOKENS.

Different developers have different tasks for signing in for their token.

Some may just ask you for your email and your wallet address while some will need you to perform some tasks like:

• Retweeting their project on your twitter account, some may give you a certain number of followers required from you for you to be able to sign in, in order to make the project more visible.

• You may need to follow the project on twitter.

• You may need to follow the project on facebook and also like their page, sometimes you may need to share their page too.

• You may need to join the projects telegram group, you must not leave the group until the ICO is over, in order for your entry to be valid. You can just be there, even if you are not chatting on the group.

• You may need to follow the project on Instagram.

You have absolutely nothing to loose, the tokens you have may not have value at the moment but with time it may tend to appreciate, remember you didn't pay for it, so keep signing in for as many genuine ones you see.

What you need to know before signing in:

1. You must never give out your private keys or recovery phrase to everyone, no real airdrop will ask you for it.

2. Never pay for an airdrop, it may be fake.

3. A real airdrop must have a functional website.

4. A real airdrop mostly have a thread or post on bitcointalk.

5. A real airdrop mostly do not ask for donations.

You also need to know that some times you may need to have some other token from the relevant blockchain in order for you to sign up for a particular airdrop. Requirements are different depending on the developers.
