Fighter jet Illyshin il-II!!!
It was the most produced fighter jet in world war-II. And a fact of womder that it is still now the 2nd largest production. In 1941 there were only 70 Il-II in all over Soviet. Among them 20 were near battle field.German force called it the plane of concrete. It was not perfect, superior to others fighters at that time. But Ill-II attacked by a group. A group of Ill-II were death angel to the German.
Can you Imagine over 36,000 Ill-II were made before and after the world war-II.To the Soviet Ill-II was as important as water and bread.

I have degrees in history actually and have studied World War II, but I never realized that about the production of Il-II following the war. You're right, I guess they were very important to the Russians. Thanks for sharing, enjoyed the read.
