Air clinic writting contest 12: Drug Abuse; A youth destiny killer.

Introduction
In our every day life, we get to see and hear of violets, troubles and all manner of negative news and it is shocking that in most cases if one trace it, it is as a result of one drug Abuse or the other.

Definition: according to wikipedia, drug is any substances that when inhaled, injected, smoked, consumed, absorbed via a patch on the skin, or dissolved under the tongue causes a temporary physiological change in the body. Some drugs are legal while some are illegal - drug abuse is the abuse of any form of abuse.
Commonly drugs abuse includes percocet, alcohol, marijuana, cacaine, valium, heroin etc

Effects of drug abuse
It causes distorted perception, impaired coordination, difficulty with thinking, problem solving, learning and with memory. It also causes impaired judgement, complication in health, diseases and in some cases eventually death. The effect of drug abuse can be physical, emotional or mentally. Drug abuse also result in violent of different kind.

Drug Abuse and the destiny of a youth.
Here is a young man of about 27yrs who just left the village to a city to make a living for himself. Got a job in a government parastatal, with the job he was able to rent a house and take care of himself. After some time he started indulging in excessive drinking snd then started joining bad gang and started somking some hard drugs like cocaine, marijuana and the next that was heard of him was that he started breaking things like television in the house that he had purchase and enter into redundancy and physical dependency and could no longer go to work. They parent had to be contacted and they had to looked for a way and send him back to village to seek help for him.
The question here is "is this the way this young will fulfill his destiny" ? Certainly No.
My opinion
Drug abuse is bad and should be avoided whether it is with legal drugs or illegal drugs.
