Great post. What I find even more interesting is how cancer cells change the entrie anti-tumor role of many immune cells to pro-tumor(probably because that's part of my project). In this regard does this CD47 also play a role in selection of Tumor associated macrophage subtype phenotype, post evasion?

Thanks for reply. I was asking more in terms of after phagocytic evasion. And if CD47 have a role in selecting the subtype of macrophages in tumor stroma. I asked this because because CD47 seems to get upregulated by NFkB signialling. For me it would have been nice if CD47 was involved in subtype switch. Anyway, looks like it's not. But thanks for the cool idea.
