WHAT I THINK ABORTION- My Entry @Air Clinic Writing Contest

Abortion is the process of terminating an unintended pregnancy at an early stage, Having an unwanted pregnancy is very common in nigeria,most people usually see abortion as the only option,but good information will help you make a decision that is good for you and your health. Not only those with unplanned pregnacy get abortion even those who plan it get abortion due to health or safety reason.

The decision to get abortion can sometimes be simple or complicated,many people decide to get abortion for various reason like

• They are not prepared

• Shame

• They are afraid of their parent finding out they are pregnant

• They were sexually assaulted

• Health reasons

In Nigeria,abortion is only legal ,when it is done to save a woman's life ,i personally consider abortion to be murder ,for something to grow it has to be alive so terminating a living fetus or embryo is definitely murder.

Looking at abortion from a Christian point of view, there is law concerning murder which does not care about the shape or size of the living being ,it will still be considered as murder as long as a life is involved.

Abortion should be totally frowned at not condoned, once you know you are not ready for a pregnancy then don't get pregnant,even if you do don't kill the child for any stupid reason,if we were all aborted by our parents then none of us will be alive. Abortion should only be done when a life is at risk.
