Abortion according to the English dictionary in relation to medicine is the cessation of pregnancy or fetal development. In other words, one can say, "Abortion is the ending of pregnancy by removing a fetus or embryo before it can survive outside the uterus."
This acts has become legal in some parts of the world. Although morally it is unacceptable. Abortion can be carried out using herbal medicine, sharp tool, pills and such likes. About 90% of these abortion are done by the UNMARRIED (my assumption).
Most of this abortion decisions are backed up by various reasons. These reasons may be:
Personal
Some of the personal reasons may be to postpone the childbearing until the existing children have gotten the necessary care before the next child. It may be due to disruption of parents education, unwillingness to raise a child gotten a result of rape or incest and others.
Societal
Some reason of abortion may be as a result of Societal pressure. The laws of the "land" may not permit the birth of another child in a family; China and some other country has this rule for population control.
Maternal and Fetal health.
The decision might to take putting into consideration the health of the Mother or Child.
Cancer
The rate of cancer during pregnancy is is a little above 0%, when a mother is found to have cancer, abortion becomes an option to save the life of the mother.
I was aborted and I did not die!
Most abortion are unsuccessful as the foetus refuses to die but some are born with some disability while some are genius. These are the testimony of survivors like Gianna Jessen & Sarah Smith.
My Thought
Abortion isn't a good thing as it's also MURDER and it endangers the mothers life. Abortion have killed "great" man and women.
The thought of Abortion was erase from the heads of some parent, that is why great men and women like Celine Dion, Jack Nicholson, Andrea Bocelli, Pope John Paul II, Nick Cannon, Marlin Stutzman, Justin Bieber, Steve Jobs, and many others are alive or lived.

Great opinion about abortion
But on my own end I think abortion is permissible in some situations.
We should not spiritualize everything in africa.
In a situation where mother and child life is being questioned then we have to do abortion. This is a health case and should go as advised by a medical doctor. In such instance we should not faith if our faith cannot move this mounting

Only when a mother's life become endangered due to ongoing pregnancy, it is permitted to abort the baby. Or if there is clear evidence that it is going to be a malformed or disabled baby, it might be considered, though there is a debate on this. In other cases, it is not permitted at all.
In current world situation, abortion is conducted to hide the sin of illegal or extramarital or premarital physical relationship. They are doing one great sin (murder a life) to cover another great sin (just mentioned above). Unfortunately, this valentine's day will be the cause of a great number of great sin committed by young couples(not married couple), especially in my country Bangladesh. Very unfortunate!
And, yes, I am surely against these type of abortion.
