Air-clinic: The dangers of drug abuse

in #air-clinic7 years ago (edited)

Thanks to @air-clinic and @stach for this opportunity once more.

My entry for this week contest is the story of a very talented woman, a woman I consider the greatest of all time in her field, stay with me we would get to know who she is in no time.

In 2009 she made the Guinness book of records for the most awarded female act, she is one of the best selling music artists of all time, with 200 million records sold worldwide.
The number of words would not allow me to put down all she had accomplished and all this she accomplished before her 49th birthday.

This month makes it 6 years since her passing, may her soul rest in peace, she died 11 February 2015. She got drowned in a bathtub as a result of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.

Growing up she was exposed to drugs and got married to a man who abuses drugs also.
They had a daughter who grew up watching her mother and father get high on drugs most of the times, on some occasions she even had to take care of her high mother. According to her husband

She often saw her mother and father high, and was around the two of us when we were f—ed up. How much quality time can you spend with your daughter when you’re high all the time? When I think about it now, I just feel enormous pain. We failed her.”

Yea he said that reminiscing because at time of the above statement their daughter was dead too, she also drowned in a bathtub but died few months later.

I know I haven't still mentioned the person but she is someone we all know Whitney Houston she sang "I will always love"

I wouldn't say anyone is to blame, the current world campaign against drug abuse is great but we need to do more, youth and teens need to know that drug abuse is dangerous.
