Femi pondered upon opening up the sealed letter. The company logo was on it but was barely noticeable, holding up the letter to the light in a grudging inspection, he tried to spot it.

After quite a lot of movements, he seemed to have found what was missing in a neatly scribbled addressee name, a sly moniker he had formed to take his mind off the burdensome moment.

The letter certainly belonged to him.

"It's not some fake currency". He muttered under his breathe, inspecting the letter again as if it was the letter bombing epoch and he had been marked a primary target.

It was all Juliet's fault he thought, muttering her name under his breathe like the prescribed jinxed words you cooked up to make the perfect hate spell. Femi breathed lungfuls of air and swirled the wine glass in his other hand steady with that blank, mutinous expression.

Juliet was a lying cheat.

Their relationship had been a game to her. "Spell-bounding but fun-catching" she had said amidst tears. Her tears moved him not. All he could think was the fact that she had "Stepped out" and that what he had termed monogamous for months upon months was in practice her "Open relationship".

She had not been safe. All those times when they had been together and he assumed every experience with her was incomparable.

Juliet had also led to this. Her advise on getting tested too since she had found out she was Hiv positive.

"Special? Think not ".
Femi chuckled and tore at the letter, almost spilling his wine. Right there in his hand was the result to the follow up test. He had tested negative in the first lab test. This, this one decided_

The wine had spilled although he barely observed it, glancing through the letter and perusing through the other STI's, Femi felt his widening grin and considered shoving his cynism.

Much After the window period and still, all was perfect. It was rare to come out unscathed he thought.

It had to be his happiest day ever.
