UNHEALTHY THINGS PEOPLE DO DURING CHRISTMAS
Source
There are several unhealthy habits that are predominant during the Christmas celebration, however, I will treat only two (drunkenness and borrowing of money to spend) that am very familiar with, because I like to treat things from a personal perspective.
Drunkenness
Drunkenness is a disturbance in behaviour or mental function during or after alcohol consumption.
Alcohol intake can be healthy when taken moderately, but we tend to excessively drink alcohol during christmas celebration. Alcohol as medicine is fine in moderation, the problem lies in the dosage, just like “healthy” foods can harm you when eaten in excess.
A friend of mine once told me that, he knows excessive drinking of alcohol may be unhealthy, however, there are few times to celebrate in life, is not as if we celebrate so ofte, and I told him that, harm/damages needs no second chance to surface. It might be your first time of involving in something bad, and that attempt will harm you eternally.
Drunkenness is a bad habit that should be avoided because it leads to other vices, it could lead you into fighting, quarrels, sexual acts that ordinarily you would have had a second thought.
Those who get drunk this season are usually people who can spend heavily on alcohol drinks. This will lead reckless spending and subsequently borrowing to meet up with expenses.
Some said it is time for celebration, they don’t want to eat the same boring, healthy foods they eat an a daily basis.
This leads to borrowing of money, it is not wise borrowing to spend, is advisable to borrow only for investment.
Some persons will borrow and after the “reggae comes the blues”, in January, instead of beginning the year with a happy mood, most times those involved are not happy. How can you be happy when you are owing some huge amount of money that had been flushed down the drainage.
In the final analysis, am not saying you should spend your Christmas eating carrots, beverages and drinking mineral water, because they are healthy. No, moderation is what i recommend for all this Christmas.
Sincerely speaking, it is not much of a celebration if you do not add colour to the celebration, however, in adding colour, be moderate as possible so that you don’t begin new year in a bad spirit and bad mood.
Add eating too many chocolates!
I have one of those calendars with a piece of chocolate behind each day.... by day 14 I was already on New Year's Eve.
Cheers!
You are right, the intake of chocolate is one of such unhealthy things that is also predominant during Christmas, but I've earlier stated that there are several things out of which I decided to write about three.

Well said. Christmas is a time to reflect and not just gallivanting.
I've seen people plan to lose their virginity on Christmas. Does that not defeat the purpose?
Thanks for contributing to this topic.
Festive season do not mean eating and drinking excessively, we can only enjoy it we if we are moderate
Thanks boss.
thank you
There is always January after Xmas celebration. People should be aware.
True talk boss.
..."damage does not need a second chance to surface..."
I caught that! You are actually right.
It is funny how that a number of persons celebrate christmas without having an underatanding of its purpose. Little wonder they say, "abuse is inevitable whem the purpose of a thing is not known."
Nice one bro!
Thanks for you contribution.
