AIR CLINIC WRITING CONTEST: My Happiest Day Ever

There are a lot of days filled with happy memories.But there is this particular memory I will like to share.It is the day I graduated from the University.

After writing my final exams,I came out with my friends and colleagues to take pictures.There was so much excitement and I was filled with happiness.

Graduating from a University in Nigeria is not a joke.It takes a lot of hardwork. You have to attend classes,buy reading materials,do a couple of assignments,read for tests and examinations.While writing my final exam that day,I was so glad that four years spent in the University was finally over.The prospects of NYSC and getting a good job was on my mind.

I wore a white shirt with my friends and colleagues and we started signing our names on one another's shirt.Some of my colleagues brought food,drinks and distributed to everyone.There was music playing on phones and tablets. What a happy day! A degree at last!

A colleague proposed to his girlfriend and months later,they got married.Contacts were exchanged between colleagues from the same faculty and other faculties with promises to keep in touch. Invitations for after party were distributed with lots of funs and drinks promised.

Some of our Lecturers came out of their offices to congratulate us.Pictures were taken with them. Fruit juices,wines and food were given to the Lecturers.They prayed for us and wished us the best in our endeavours.Even our strict lecturers were full of smiles that day!Happiness is a beautiful thing!

Some of our colleagues brought cakes,snacks and cans of malt/beer. It was merriment galore.It was indeed a day filled with happiness and joy!

Sometimes,I checked the pictures on facebook and I break into a smile. This is one of the beautiful memories I cherish.
