It is bad enough that people are dying of AIDS, but no one should die of ignorance.

HIV remains a frightening reality. While some people are living a healthy live free from the dreaded disease/virus, others are battling with AIDS related diseases. Many years ago it was believed that HIV and AIDS only affects certain people. Believe me HIV and AIDS has no respect for your personality, income, sexuality, age or size.

Joseph Okolonju an ethnic Igbo Christian from Imo State, a very handsome young man in his early thirties, was an intelligent business man, hardworking and the only son in his family.

He was equally a womanizer and this most people believed was because as a child he spent most of his time amongst women while others believed it was because of the money he had acquired.

At age eighteen, Joseph started a small distribution company that specialized on the distribution biscuits. Ten years after, his company became the major distributor (over 70 percent) of biscuits and soft drinks in his State.

Early last year Joseph okolonju fell sick and was admitted at @air-clinic hospital with what he believed to be asthma due to a recurring cough and wincing that occurred some months back. Instead, he was diagnosed with AIDS. It is believed he contracted the infection from a sexual partner.

"AIDS IS REAL, IT KILLS. There are many who believe that this disease is God's vengeance," Joseph said before he died, "but I believe it was sent to teach people how to love and understand and have compassion for each other.”

After some months, He died of AIDS-related diseases with his family members by his side.
