WHEN SICK, VISIT HOSPITAL QUICK- MY ENTRY TO @AIR-CLINIC CONTEST

The 3rd of January remains indelible in my mind as it was on this day in 2003 that a promising young boy in his early twenties died in my neighborhood.

What caused this careless death?

Udo was called by his uncle to help him chain a dog of about 7 months old that he has just purchased from the village market two days ago as according to him the puppy is being too stubborn and cold not allow him alone to put it in a chain.

While his uncle held the dog, Udo brought the chain and while he was placing in on the neck of the little dog, it attacked Udo and bites him slightly on his hand.

When Udo returned him, he applied some local treatment to the small wound and also informed his father who saw him applying the treatment of the dog bite but his father told him that there is nothing to worry about since in not only a small wound but also came from a small dog.

Two weeks after, Udo started complaining of some usual body changes and illnesses but his father took him to a local chemist who gave them drugs based on the complain they brought , meanwhile both Udo and his father has forgotten about the dog bite as the site of the wound has been covered up and seems healed.

Weeks on, Udo’s health keep deteriorating and his father decided to take him to a hospital where it was discovered that the poison from dog has severely damaged his system. The doctor who loves Udo and his twin brother so much because they were the first set of twin delivered in his hospital, quickly referred them to another hospital were such matters maybe handled.

Unfortunately, could not make it to the hospital as he gave up on their way to the hospital.
