Did you know that emotions can affect our spine?

Greetings friends...

Today I want to talk to you about a very interesting topic since it is about our body, specifically, our spine.

The pains and disorders of the spine can be closely related to psychological reasons and to our emotions.

According to psychosomatics, many physical disorders depend on psychological reasons because the body and mind are closely related, therefore, back pain is not only caused by incorrect postures and musculoskeletal problems, but also by emotions. In our back we release tension, stress, worries, and in the spine we discharge the weight of daily responsibilities. The column is the axis of our body and symbolically represents our support.

Resistant but flexible, and it is precisely along the column that negative emotions descend causing various types of back pain, this is a topic that interests me a lot, since emotions can affect our body in a way that people do not They imagine. In the case of the column, what I have been able to investigate, some ailments can be identified according to the location of the pain and how it develops.

Cervical area:

The pains in the upper part of the back are related to the basic structure of the being. Specifically, the 7 cervical vertebrae tell us about our relationship with others and our ability to express emotions. It goes without saying that cervical problems can indicate closure, rigidity of thought, depression, difficulty interacting with the outside world or being completely oneself. This area is also affected by labor concerns, especially in people with a strong sense of responsibility, inclined to take charge of everything. To relieve pain a little, you can do slow rotations with the head and shoulders. They do not solve it completely, but they help!

Dorsal Area (thoracic spine):

This part of the back, also relevant for respiratory activity, is subject to pain in people with low self-esteem, who are afraid to live and struggle to make decisions. His position, as is logical, leans forward, with the consequent contraction of the rib cage, to the detriment of correct breathing. Flexion depends on a feeling of inner affliction and a constant closing and defense attitude. To improve the situation, outdoor walks are recommended, which help to reflect and find answers within oneself.

Lumbar area:

The pains in this part of the back often depend on the difficulty of supporting the weight of life, for example, due to unsatisfactory work and relationships, which leave no outlet. However, if the pain is in the lower back, it may depend on sexual blocks or the inability to satisfy one's wishes. While low back pain is typical of people who try too hard, they go beyond their limits.

Sacral zone and coccyx:

Source

It is the area symbolically associated with the satisfaction of basic needs that provides emotional stability: from sexuality to food, from love to the security of a home. If it is not adequately satisfied, pains of varying degrees occur, while disorders that particularly affect the coccyx can hide excessive dependence on others or things.

Obviously, each back pain must be evaluated individually with the support of a specialist, without which it is not possible to make an accurate diagnosis. The same applies to treatments, which must be personalized. However, when you suffer from back pain, it is always advisable to reserve a little time to rest. Because the body, whatever the cause, is telling you your discomfort and also the need for a rest.

According to all this, you should be aware of the emotional event to treat the area that may present some disease, preferably with the help of a psychosomatic expert.

Many people believe that it is crazy to think that emotions can affect any part of the body, but they are not just words or assumptions, all this has been scientifically proven.

I hope that this information that I have collected, will be useful, and interesting, you can contribute something else by leaving a comment
