Bananas anyone?
Hi guys,
Today's post will be about bananas from the so-called "Banana Boy " of #steemitbloggers. And it's official. Lol.
In this post you'll learn about bananas: what are bananas and what do they consist of, why you should be eating them and how can they benefit you in your workout.
So let's get begin.
Shall we?
What are bananas and what do they consist of:-
A banana's an edible fruit which I guess is botanically a berry as well but this is a fact that I'm not so sure about so due diligence is encouraged. Boo on the #banana boy. Lol. It's native to some tropical regions of India, Southeast Asia and Northern parts of Australia and is produced by a variety of kinds of large herbaceous flowering plants in the genus
Musa category. They group in bunches hanging from the top of the plant. Mostly all the edible seedless bananas that we eat nowadays belong to the Musa acuminata and Musa balbisiana category.
Now I'm just going to be lazy and source a chart showing the nutritional benefits of bananas. Lol.
Why should you be eating bananas a.k.a. what's in it for you:-
Although there are a lot of benefits of eating bananas like an increased boost of energy, decreased rate of heart diseases and blood pressure, powers the brain, improves digestion, etc. I'm going to list out why do I care to eat them mostly consistently because sometimes they're out of stock.
My reasons for eating bananas:-
1). Potassium:- Bananas are a good source of potassium for the body. A medium size has about 422.6 mg of potassium in it. Although the daily requirement of potassium for the body is 4,700mg/day but at least something is better than nothing. Lol. Potassium is useful for the body for the proper functioning of organs and transmission of electricity in the body from one part to the other. ( You might want to consult a nutritionist for more information about your potassium requirements especially for children ).
2). Dietary fibre:- As you all may already be knowing that dietary fibre very important for proper digestion of food. A medium size banana has about 3.1g of fibre in. An adult man needs about 38g of fibre on a regular basis and an adult women needs about 28g of fibre on a regular basis.
So having at least 2 bananas/day along with other fruits and vegetables like apples, strawberries, carrots ,etc should be enough to fulfill your daily fiber requirements so that your digestive system can work efficiently than before. ( You should still consult a nutritionist though just to be on the safer side ).
3). A great post workout snack:- Bananas are a good source of energy and help you recover and build muscle after a good workout. So that's why I eat them because you have to do other stuff as well after working out like write this post, watch DragonBall Super, etc.
How they can benefit you in your workout?
As I have already mentioned in the 3rd point of benefits/ my reasons for eating bananas they really reallllllllllllllly help after 10 sprints of 100mts and some push-ups, abs and pull-ups, etc. A banana milkshake or a couple of bananas really help your body recover and you're good to go after 20 mins of rest. So eating your bananas along with other sources of protein like protein yogurt, paneer/tofu, protinix, or whatever you choose to eat or drink after your workout along with the "Banana's" 😈 can not only help your recovery but also provide you with enough energy to do other stuff ( whatever it may be ).
So, sweat it out during your workout and then enjoy your bananas.
So with that I'm peeling off 😂😂 ( get it you wrap up posts put you peel bananas 😂😂) this post.
