What is globalization?

Globalization is the process by which businesses or other organizations develop international influence or start operating on an international scale.

Wikipedia even puts it more succintly as;

Globalization is the increasing interaction of people, states, or countries through the growth of the international flow of money, ideas, and culture. Globalization is primarily an economic process of integration that has social and cultural aspects. It involves goods and services, and the economic resources of capital, technology, and data.

From the foregoing, its obvious that globalization helps strengthen public and international relations. In that way, the world can then be seen as one whole global village instead of in isolated bits divided by country borders, ethnic groups, languages etcz.

Having known what globalization is about, the question is;

Is Globalization Compatible With Healthcare?

The normal healthcare method is offline. You are ill so you visit the hospital nearby. Those hospitals are usually owned by the neighbourhood doctors. Hence healthcare was made local denovo.

Medical services that try to bridge this gap are usually NGOs who go from one state/country to another giving medical help. Redcross & Medix Sans Frontiers quickly come to mind in this scenario. They therefore bridge all divides across all borders to provide (usually free) healthcare in stress zones.

With the advent of the internet, it becomes easier to globalize. By virtue of online interactions, we all have friends in different parts of the world. You can skype with someone in Asia. And now cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology enables transfer of money anywhere in the world at lightening speed (Steem for example).
