I agree the hype is premature, much like that of the hype around 3D printing in the 2012-2014 timeframe. It is most certainly a very big deal, but is years away from fruition.

I am convinced AI's first tangible application will be in the world of cybersecurity, as that is where the modern wars are being waged by governments and institutions alike.
