Handwritten digit classification using Raspberry Pi Pico and Machine Learning

The project involves running a machine learning model on a Raspberry Pi Pico to analyze photos from a camera and determine the digit present in each image. Importantly, the machine learning model can operate solely on the Raspberry Pi Pico without the need for a connected computer or cloud services. This poses a significant challenge as the goal is to create compact machine learning models that can fit into the Pi Pico's RAM while maintaining accuracy for the task at hand.

Additionally, the project aims to display the results on a 120x160 TFT LCD screen. To achieve this, the team is utilizing CircuitPython for all aspects of the project. The use of CircuitPython is praised for its ease of use and versatility, as it supports over 300 boards, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of hardware configurations.
