EFFECT.AI - Another problem blockchain will solve

Though I fully agree with this statement, I think that nowadays technology may do even more than just freeing us from routine. Technology evolves so rapidly during last years so that now humanity stands on the verge of creating something that is capable of not just performing mechanical work, but also thinking and solving much bigger problems.

The Problem

There are different opinions about the Artificial Intelligence, someone might say that it's dangerous or even scary, for someone else it's something like a genre of fiction. But if you are well informed about current scientific developments, you will probably agree that creation of high-grade AI is just a matter of time and the only question is that who will be the first one.

One of the major problems currently is that AI development process requires high costs, which a regular developer or small business just can't afford. At first, you'll need a huge amount of input data, which the AI will use to train, also, you'll need an endless quantity of tests to make sure the system works and optimize it in the future. And, of course, in time, your developments will require more and more computing power.

As a result, only huge IT corporations, like Google, Facebook and Amazon may afford an AI development, and since it's corporations, they are doing it behind the locked doors, which, as always, hurts the progress. And though there some corporation providing marketplaces to buy data, they usually have high commissions and restrictions, so neither the developer may afford the costs nor the users want or allowed to sell the data. Аnd as in many other cases, the blockchain comes to rescue.

The Solution

EFFECT.AI going to solve all the mentioned problems by building a decentralized network, which will fully support AI development and monetization process from start to end.
In simple terms - it's going to be a place where the regular users (the workers) will be able to earn Effect tokens by completing tasks, the developers will be able to get some data to "teach" the AI, use the decentralized network to run it and the marketplace to sell it as a service. The main point that there will be no fees or restriction, so everyone will be able to use Effect network to work and create.
As it mentioned in the effect network's whitepaper the development will occur in 3 phases:

Phase 1: Effect Mechanical Turk

This is where the AI development starts. Workers will be able to join the network and complete tasks, like image clarification, audio transcription or data labeling. Developers will be able to access the data for tokens. Since there are will be no fees and a big quantity of workers, there will be lower and affordable costs.

Phase 2: Effect Smart Market

This is where you'll be able to monetize your AI. The developers will be able to sell AI's services to companies, developed with the help of the Effect Mechanical Turk.

Phase 3: Effect Power

And the last phase, after which AI developers may reduce computation costs using the Effect Network.

In my opinion, this is an awesome concept which may make the world much better and life much easier. It will support talented developers, small businesses and, of course, the regular users. Currently, EFFECT.AI team is getting ready for an ICO, which start on 24th of March, hope these guy will get the necessary support and will succeed in the future.
