Observations and suggestions:
Bananas are highly attacked by ants. If there is more ant attack in the soil, then you can give carbofuran or fipronil group baline. I noticed a lot of difference between the banana of the tree attacked by the ants and the banana of the tree that was saved from the ant attack. You have presented it very nicely. Biochemicals don't want to work most of the time so you can't repel ants using grease. Imidacloprid works very well worldwide but is very expensive. So you can spray granular fipronil at the base of the plant and imidacloprid at the top of the plant to be economical.
