This is Mahnoor. And I hope that you're happy in your life and I would like to thanks @xkool24 to teach us. And as I see different impacts which is highly damaged.

1. Describe in detail how agricultural productivity is affected by climate change.

The changing in Climate may affect agricultural productivity in different ways. In first, higher temperature can be stress crops and reduce fastly yields. Heat ill makes plant wilt and dry out, lead to lower and lower production.

Second one, climate change may alter rainfall patterns from nature. Some of areas doing experience more intense rainfall, lead to flood, which can make effects on plants and damage soil. On the other side, other region can face drought, where there not enough water for only crops to grow properly and not provide necessary needs. Both experiences means wet and dry conditions can be lower crop yields.

Third, climate changes can create affect on the availability of water. Many farmers are rely on regular rainfall or nature system to water their crops. Different changes in precipitate process and the melting of glaciers can be impacting the amount of water available for agricultures. In this regions, where water becomes rarce, farmers might be struggle to grow up their crops, lead to reduce the productivity.

Finally, climate changing can also impact the soil health. Heavy weather condition, like heavy rains or high temperature heat, might lead to soil degradation, make it hard for crops to grow. Healthy soil is really important for good crop production.

Overall, climate changes create different challenges for farmer by affecting the temperature, high rainfall, water availability, pests, and health of soil.

2. Discuss how extreme rains and extreme droughts damage crops.

Extreme rain and extreme drought can be both damaged crops in different ways:

When we see too much rain, the soil become the waterlog. This mean that roots of all plants can not get the required oxygen, which can create the purpose for root rot and other harmful diseases. Shortage of water can also wash the necessary nutrients that crops should need to grow.

On the other hands, extreme drought occured when there ain't enough rain. Without required water, crops can't grow effectively and properly because they needs water to making food through by this process called photosynthesis. Droughts can be also making the soil very dry and hard, which make it difficult for roots to absorb moisture and important nutritions. This can leading to poor crop yields and even crop failure and farmers face high loss.

In this both cases, the damage reduce the amount of food that should be produced, which can leading to high food prices and food shortage.

3. Discuss in stages how new pests and diseases are emerging as a result of climate change AND what measures farmers can take to prevent them.

Changing of climate affects pests and diseases in several stages:

  1. Warmer Temperatures: High temperature help pests and diseases grow fast and its damage the crops. In warmer climate, pests like that different insects can reproduce more easily and quickly, and disease can be spread more easily.

  2. Changes in Rainfall: Increasing rainfall can create more critical conditions. This is the ideal for fungi and other plant disease which can be harms, which can thrive and spread fastly in moist environment.

  3. Extreme Weather: Unpredictable weather event, such as storms, can weak the plants. Weak plants are more vulnerable to pests and other diseases.

Farmers can take these steps to prevent these issues:

  • Monitor and Forecast: Check regularly for finding signs of pests and disease. Use weather forecast to predicts and prepare for change that can affect crop health.
  • Improve Farm Management: Practice crops management rotations and proper irrigation to reduce the pests and diseases needs to thrive.

4. Discuss what changes in irrigation systems are required due to climate change.

Climate changes affect irrigation system by altert the rainfall patterns and increase temperature. Farmers need to makes some changes:

  1. Improving Water Storage: Build or upgrading the water storage facilities, like that ponds or tanks, to captured and hold water during rainy days for use in dry time.

  2. Adjust the Schedule: Change water timing and amount of water base on new weather patterns to ensure that crops have the correct amount of water.

  3. Choose Correct Crops: Plant correct crops that always needs less water and can survived high temperatures.

By adjust these settlement, irrigate system can be better handle the challenges face by climate changes and helps to maintain crop yields.

5. Explain the two best ways to respond to climate change?

The given two best ways to responding to climate change is reducing the carbon emission and may decrease its impact. First, reduce carbon emission involved use lessing fossil fuel like coal and oil. We can do this by using only clean energy source like solar and winds power, drive less, and save energy at your home.

Second, adope the climate change means prepared for its effects before , such as builds strong home to improved water management for save from droughts. Both actions help to decreasing the impacts of climate changes on the environment and community.

Observations and suggestions:

You have good knowledge of climate change and its impacts on agricultural productivity. Your listed points could attest to task 1. I could also read out the required details while from task 2. The problems of extreme rains and droughts were captured correctly.

You have succinctly hit the required points for all tasks. But citing some examples or prototypes for what works best in your locality relative to irrigation changes and choice of correct plants) would have created a perfect scenario.

However, this was a good presentation.

One of the best ways to tackle climate change is by preparing for it like you said especially if you're dealing with commercial large scale farming. Everybody can take action to reduce the impact of climate change in our ecosystem and our agricultural sector either through reducing combustible fuels or through building more water reserves, etc.
Well-done.
