Village Things- Pumpkin Leaf farming
So this morning we started the preparation for the dry season pumpkin leaf 'ugu' farming.
We had already cleared the land and taken a wheelbarrow load of manure to the farm.
This morning, as early as 6am i was up to the farm (behind the house)to start the ground preparation and few minutes later my wife and daughters came to join me in the preparation
The beauty of this farming is that if you can take the pain to always water them in the dry season, you will always have the leaf throughout the season.
These are the seeds to be planted!
They have been removed from the pod and dried before the planting by tomorrow morning.
Work-In-Progress!
That is a lot of pumpkins. You have a full work on your hands. Good job. Thanks.
Thanks a lot sir
What are you going to do with the crops?
Basically sales! During January to March, the price for vegetables is always very high. Also for home consumption
