To Kampala from Nairobi, it's around 12 hours by road. From Kampala to Fort Portal is another 5 hours by bus, then you use local taxis or bikes to get to the lakes. Long journey so take a breather in Kampala. Given you can work remotely, you could always travel more. You will love Uganda for sure 😊
