Who really OWNS the economy of AFRICA - Part 1

in #africa7 years ago

According to an article by War on Want compiled by Mark Curti titled The New Colonialism: Britain’s scramble for Africa’s energy and mineral resources:

Companies listed on the London Stock Exchange control over $1 trillion worth of Africa’s resources in just five commodities — oil, gold, diamonds, coal and platinum.

This is the sad really of Africa and why it is so poor...CRY MY BELOVED AFRICA CRY!!!!

Many people in Africa die from:

  • hunger,
  • diseases,
  • poverty, etc...

Who can ever forget the famous heart breaking photos by Kevin Carter.

My discussion will be focused on some of the so called South Africans who really OWN the economy of Africa and mainly South Africa since is my origin.

According to Forbes magazine below is the list of South African billionaires...

...did I say US Dollar billionaires? YES not Zim Dollars.

From the above list we can clearly see only one black African man and that is Patrice Motsepe who seems to be the only one benefiting from mining Africa's mineral resources.

But my focus will be to uncover the truth around the people who own:

  • Part 2: Retail
  • Part 3: Media, investments
  • Part 4: Luxury goods

Keep an eye for "Who really OWNS the economy of AFRICA - Part 2" as I go deeper into the truth.
