I am a Nigerian of the South Eastern extraction, my people are known as Ibos. In the south east lately there have been so many agitations by different groups all for the actualization of THE SOVEREIGN STATE OF BIAFRA.
Before I proceed I want to state here that I do not belong to any of the Pro-Biafra groups agitating for the actualization of the Biafran State, but the following article which would come as a series is intended to x-ray the struggle and the reactions of the government towards the agitators.
..... There are so many groups that have been formed in the course of these agitations, we have groups like:
MASSOB : MOVEMENT FOR THE ACTUALIZATION OF THE SOVEREIGN STATE OF BIAFRA.
This was the very first group that emerged in the course of this struggle, and has remained in the fight, although there activities have died down so much that they now seem to be in the background, and have always been at crossroads with the IPOB group.BIM: BIAFRA INDEPENDENT MOVEMENT. This is another group that seems to be a bit more political and seem to concern themselves more with faulting the leadership of the other groups.
IPOB: INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA.
This is currently the most vocal group of all the groups involved in this struggle. They have been involved in organizing rallies, holding protests and the rest of them. The IPOB leader in the person of MAZI NNAMDI KANU is one of the most popular men in Nigeria today.
Nnamdi Kanu was the director of a radio station called RADIO BIAFRA, a radio station that was used for propaganda spreading and in getting a lot of youths to support his group.

Kanu was arrested on charges of treason at Lagos on 14th OCTOBER, 2015, and was held in detention for almost 2 years without trial by the Nigerian Federal Government despite being ordered by a competent court to release him on so many occasions, finally on 29th APRIL, 2017, he was released on bail with very stringent bail conditions, but he didn't waste time to take to the streets in continuation of his struggle after his release.
So far the struggle has culminated to the Federal Government classifying their propaganda as a threat to the unity of the Nigerian Nation, and redeployment of the Nigerian Army for what they tagged: OPERATION PYTHON DANCE

Our government is never a sincere one yes I support the pro-Biafra groups in their struggle for secession. How would you feel if your parents treated you as scum and an outcast in your own family? Would you be content and happy in such an environment? There is nothing like 'one Nigeria ' except we want to keep deceiving ourselves. The Biafrans simply wants to be reckoned as a voice in Nigeria and since they have been long denied, their only option is what they are agitating for right now. So I wish them luck.
