One reason bitcoin is exploding is because of Africa. Some points to consider are that 1. African currencies have and will run into problems as they always have so many times in the past. 2. These counties will turn to bitcoin to get their money out of their wavering currencies. 3. It's already happening!

When the currencies of African countries take a dump, falter, drop, vaporize, etc. as they have in the past the people may well turn to Bitcoin. Nigerias alone has a GDP is around 500 Billion (5 x the market cap of Bitcoin) The last time I went to Nigeria was 10 years ago and "almost everyone had a problems with the currency." It's not a typo error. Try saying it with a strong African accent. Everyone was trying to convert to USD and I remember seeing the duffel bags of Nairas to exchange into a handful of dollars. Soon it will be a truckload of Nairas to trade for some bitcoin that can be stored on a cell phone.
