ARCHBISHOP FORTUNATUS EXTOLLS GOVERNOR IKPEAZU’S VIRTUES
The Catholic Papal Nuncio to Nicaragua, His Grace, Archbishop Fortunatus Nwachukwu has extolled the sterling leadership qualities of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, describing him as God fearing.
He made the remark in Managua while speaking to Foreign Diplomats, top Nicaraguan government functionaries and the business community in a well- attended dinner organized in honour of Governor Ikpeazu who paid him a visit.
The Catholic Archbishop, who was visibly happy at the courtesy visit by the governor, described Governor Ikpeazu as "a thorough bred humane and hardworking leader who is passionate about serving his people and God".
He assured the governor of his prayers and that of the Catholic church in Nigeria and prayed God to crown the Governor's efforts with great success.
Earlier in his address, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu said he was in Managua to thank the Government and people of Nicaragua for being good hosts to Bishop Nwachukwu, an illustrious son of Abia State, and Papal Nuncio of the Catholic Church to their country.
The Governor who described service to others as the hallmark of leadership assured that Bishop Nwachukwu has a good record of service that he will bring to his new assignment.
Governor Ikpeazu, who was accompanied on the visit by Industrialist, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba, has since returned to Abia State.
