Freshers' Welcome

Yesterday was an amazing time with these fellows. We had a discussion around balancing every aspect of life. The program was put together by the Youth Alive Fellowship of Winners' Chapel Ekososin, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.

The event was meant to educate the new students of the University Of Benin on matters around making the right decisions seeing that they are now in an unfamiliar terrain.

One major issue that is faced by most students is the issue of self-worth and Low self esteem. These we believe form the PVC of any human.

If one knows himself and has a sense of direction and esteem, it would be easier to make decisions rightly as against being misled by wolves in sheeps' clothing.

The new intake would be faced (if not already being faced) with issues that would try to question their esteem. They would meet with 'friends' who would seek to drag them down with all manner of lies. And being naive, these ones may end up believing and going astray from the goals they set for themselves before now.

The event was an amazing one. I anchored the talk show and learnt a lot as well.

I like the experience and it is fun to know that there is a community of people here who are willing to encourage people like me.
