"The Weekend Wash-Up" AFL Fantasy Classic Review + Summary!

Round 18 is done and we now only have 1 more match remaining!
The final 8 is just about set with Adro’s Assassins & Lions4Life battling for that last spot.
Round 18 Results:
Mmeow continued her strong late season form with a 2208 – 2140 victory over fellow top 8 side Hannibals Leftovers.
That victory almost locks up 2nd spot on the ladder for Mmeow while Hannibals can no longer make the Top 4 but is still safe in the Top 8.
In a ripping match up BraphB reminded everyone of his premiership credentials with a league high 2450 to 2352 victory over Niges Cats.
The win locks up BraphB’s Top 4 spot and ends Niges Cats Top 4 chances.
Niges Cats is safe in the 8 at least.
Adro’s Assassins had the Bounty chance but more importantly the chance to lock up a Finals spot last weekend against my team (@dahmsy79).
The Assassins put up a decent 2290 score but it was not enough to beat my 2346.
The win locks in my Top 4 spot while the Assassins remains in the 8 for now but will need to win his last game to ensure he stays there.
Our undefeated league leader Medhurst Minions was not troubled, winning 2319 – 1443 over The Cunning Stunts is Back Again.
The Minor Premiership has been a lock for the Minions a long way out and he is now just killing time (and opponents) waiting for the Finals to begin.
Lions4Life kept up his chase of a Top 8 spot with a convincing 2359 – 1864 victory over Little Old Lady.
The equation is simple for Lions4Life now.
He must win his last game and hope Adro’s Assassins loses it in order to make the Finals.
Playing for Draft Picks may be out of contention but she is ensuring she finishes the 2018 season with a bang and continues to put up massive scores.
She had the guaranteed 4 points anyway this week against NZL19500 but her 2334 score ensures there is no foot being taken off the gas.
Steemit Huskies are out of contention but still had a Bounty to play for this week against Lockout (@o07).
The Huskies pushed Lockout all the way but eventually went down 2166 – 2260.
Lockout remains safe in the bottom half of the Top 8.
Piston-Broke and DBLSTR were just playing for pride this weekend and it was the Pistons who prevailed in a low scoring match up, winning 1638 – 1359.
Also playing for pride were Buffalo Bisons and Just2Random and they played out a thrilling close one.
Just2Random got back on the winners list with a slender 1966 – 1954 victory.
The last game of the Round saw I Wear Footy Pajamas get a rare win defeating Kulate 1793 – 1696.
So with 1 match to play in the Home and Away season the Top 8 looks like this:

Lions4Life is the only team outside of the 8 that can still make it and is on 40 points with a percentage of 113.21.
The Round 19 matches that will impact the Finals match ups are:
The Top 4 spots are off the table but 5th placed Niges Cats v 6th placed Hannibals Leftovers should be a cracker with the winner assured 5th placed and the easier Week 1 Finals match up.
2nd placed Mmeow takes on my side (@dahmsy79) and while we are both safe in the Top 4 neither of us would fancy falling to 4th as that would mean playing the undefeated Medhurst Minions in week 1 of the Finals.
BraphB is in line for a % booster over Cunning Stunts is Back Again so he will be eager to shift out of that 4th place himself and get himself on the other side of the draw to Medhurst Minions.
Adro’s Assassins faces a do or die match up against the Little Old Lady who is not the easiest opponent to beat despite being out of contention.
A win guarantee’s a Finals spot for the Assassins while a loss will mean he will need to hope Lions4Life loses also.
Medhurst Minions has the bye against NZL19500 to ensure he will finish the home and away season undefeated on top of the ladder.
Lions4Life faces the Steemit Huskies which is a match he will be expected to win so all eyes will be on Adro’s Assassins to see if he can pinch the last spot in the 8.
Lockout is guaranteed a 6th or 7th placed finish regardless of the result against Just2Random but he will be eager to carry winning form into the Finals.
