Pizza Ban... Pineapple Controversy!
Love it or hate it ?
Half of humankind adores pineapple on pizza, I mean... Who wouldn't right?
In Iceland a hefty topic wedged medias eye, during a recent visit to a high school ‘Akureyri’ in the 2nd largest city in Iceland, the President ended his visit in an oddly fashion. Instead of saying goodbye he decided to ask the students rather odd questions about football and food and other random stuff. One subject was pineapple on pizza, ‘There is definitely no way in hell that pineapple belongs on pizza...’ is what the president had said after speaking to a pupil.
Many people have said that pizza doesn't belong on pineapple
But the good news is, the president says, “I do not have the power to make laws which forbid people to put pineapples on their pizza,”
However the question is still out there. Does Pineapple really belong on pizza? There is a petition going out to actually ban this so I guess there is no good news for you pizza lovers out there.

I'll give you the ultimate and best answer known to mankind. It depends. What else is on the pizza? If it is just sauce and cheese, then there isn't a need for pineapple. In my opinion, pineapple goes best with a pizza that has barbeque sauce, monterrey jack cheese, bacon, and grilled chicken. The pineapple offsets some of the other flavors for a good balance.
I can't argue with that, I get tell your a food connoisseur. :)
I agree, pineapple does not belong on pizza. Having said that, if someone wants to ruin their own pizza they are free to do so.
