"Ionocrafts" as aether-propulsion technology

The logical leap needed to get from "ionocraft" ionizing air generating lift by moving air around, and, "anti-gravity" flying in "vacuum", is just the aether, that in "vacuum" you have a medium that can also be acted in in an analogous way.
