Day 1 Biking US Route 66 Across America!

I bought an Adventure Cycling map last year but haven't used it yet. I was a little confused by it myself. I just kept wondering if I was better off just relying on Google maps. But maybe I should just try it and it'll make more sense.
Once you understand their language / symbols etc... its not so bad. Google maps app on tablet will show you exactly where you are to get back on track. I say use both.
I hope you have plenty of pictures from the beach . I need a new pic for next months avatar .

Probably rode 2 miles , then took a taxi for 98 .
Nah uhaul is cheaper at $20 a day. Plan to get one to go over mountains. Im disabled so its ok to do it lol...
Im slow. I do 50 miles a day so far. Today im exhausted.
