Trip to the Puzzle Mansion Museum! :)

in #adventure6 years ago (edited)

Hi! Due to the recent holiday on Friday, February 16, 2017, which was the Chinese New Year, our family decided to go to Tagaytay. A few of the places we went to was the Puzzle Mansion Museum.

I would like to show some pictures since taking of pictures are allowed. All the photos are puzzles put together.

When viewed closely, the photos will be seen composed of puzzle pieces.

Here is an example of the label containing the details of the puzzle for the Panda Playground as shown in the right side, placed on the upper right corner of the frame.

The labels indicate the following:

  • Number of pieces it contains,
  • Name of the artist
  • Completion time
  • Dimension
  • Maker/Origin

For an example of a closer view of the puzzle, the photo below is the whole puzzle.

The next photo below shows a closer view of the puzzle.

And here is a closer view of the side where you can see the puzzle pieces.

Another puzzle photo that I liked was the sunflower.

This photo below shows the puzzle pieces that made up the photo of the Puzzle No. 2 Sunflower.

There were also 3D puzzles.

Mickey Mouse and turtles
Insects and alligators

The next photo shows puzzles of landscapes.

The left and right photos above only show the difference in perspective.

This next photo below shows my grandmother and I with some 3D puzzle dinosaurs.

Also, a staff might call someone from the crowd who is able to finish organizing a 3x3 rubik's cube swiftly. My cousin almost tried for having a record of 50 seconds for the common size of a 3x3 rubik's cube, but when the staff showed his huge 3x3 rubik's cube, he declined. It was kept in tact by magnets and bigger than what we imagined. Hahaha

So, if you are up for the challenge, come to the Puzzle Mansion Museum to try it out! :)

A few photos of the puzzles that I really was amused are the ones below.

Puzzles of Free Willy and 101 Dalmatians!

I was really happy when I saw Phineas and Ferb. Haha

This was a photo of my sister with the Guinness World Record Certificate.

What was written there was:

Guinness World Record Certificate
The largest collection of jigsaw puzzle was achieved by Georgina Gil-Lacuna (Philippines), in Tagaytay City, Philippines, on 29 November 2012.

For that, the next photo is the 3rd Biggest Puzzle in the World.

And, at last, the Biggest Puzzle in the World!

I tried my best to capture the whole photo without using the panorama feature of the camera (because my panorama feature will make the photo smaller), but it still did not fit. The last two biggest puzzles were on the second floor so we had to adjust until to where our feet can back off.

Also, I had to make sure that only ambient lighting was given so that the original color of the pictures would be preserved.

Lastly, if you noticed, some photos were not straight in alignment. Most puzzles were placed in aisles so capturing the whole image of the photo straightly in some cases would be not possible. But I really tried my best to straighten them. Hihi!

We paid PHP 100 per person for the entrance, just in case you would also like to visit their place.

Thank you for reading and making it to this point!
Maybe you can visit their place sometime. :)
