WHEN STRANGERS BECOME FRIENDS FOR LIFE 🌊

About a year ago I was my last year of high school and I met some guy in my grade that I have never spoke to before in my whole high school experience until then. He came from Austria and some how we bonded quite quickly. ✊ About 2/3 weeks after we became friends, he invited me to go on holiday to a place in South Africa called Misverstand dam with his bunch of friends.

Two of those friends I talked to quite a few times in high school and were quite close with at one stage of my life, and the rest I have never met before because they were in a different school so they were complete strangers. Two of them I got along with so well so fast I felt as if I knew them for years already. The rest I got to know a little better through drinking games and truth and dares. I never thought that lot of people would end up being my best friends today of which I seem to see everyday or every week. I share some of my best memories with them and can count on them with my life and problems. That was one of the best summer holidays of my life.

We still visit Misverstand regularly to get away from life and bond with each other. We cruise on the boat, desperately cling onto tubes, make giant waves with jetskies, wakeboard, swing-rope, cliff jump, swim in the dam and so much more. I have so many good memories there that I love remaking with them every time we return. 🌊🚤
