Boracay Island, Philippines. A true Paradise on Earth!

I grew up in America but I still have a lot of family in the Philippines. I didn't get to visit the Philippines much as a kid into early adulthood, but more recently I was able to travel to the Philippines with my husband and some friends. We absolutely fell in LOVE with Boracay. My family always said, when you come to the Philippines you MUST visit Boracay and Palawan. So when we visited the Philippines, we did. We explored Boracay and Palawan. One of the adventures we did in Boracay was a day trip to Ariel's Point. It was a fun filled day of watersports, cliff jumping, and fun under the sun (and rain)!

We were staying at Hennan Regency Boracay Resort. This hotel is a waterfront property right on White Beach in Station 2. Needless to say there are A LOT of vendors on White Beach so every time we stepped outside of the hotel property, a ton of vendors would approach us to sell us things or sell us on adventures. We met this one vendor we liked so any time we wanted an adventure we would go to him because we trusted him. He recommended Ariels point for a day trip and I'm glad we took it!

The day adventure begins early in the morning around 9am. We met the group of people going to Ariels point for the day at a hotel in Station 1. Then we were escorted to the beach where 4 Phlippine boats called vanca or bangka awaited for all the day trippers. We were escorted to our boat and away we went. The island was about a 25 - 30 minute boat ride from our departure point. The seas were calm and it was a great boat ride. We were served beverages and alcoholic beverages which were included in the price of our ticket. We got to know fellow travelers from all over the world in our little bangka.

Then we finally arrive to our destination! Ariel's Point! As you exit the boat, you navigate your way through caves and stairs before emerging on top of the world!

As soon as we arrived, the thrill seekers didn't wait and started cliff jumping from the different platforms. There were different heights where you can jump. The 3m, 4m, 5, 8, and finally 15 m. I started from the 3 and 4 meter "platforms" before getting up the nerve to jump from the 5m. It was pretty scary!

My husband the daredevil and adrenaline junkie was the hero of the day. He was the only one to do flips and dives off of the platforms. These guys from Australia and girls from China were cheering him on. They told me, "Wow your husband is so crazy!" He also jumped several times from the 15m platform. I couldn't do it!

After playing in the water for a few hours, we were served a delicious lunch. Unfortunately it started raining right when we started eating, but at the same time that was the perfect time to take a break from the water. The rain also provided some relief from the sun's heat.

After lunch, just as if was planned by the vacation Gods, the rain stopped and we commenced playing in the water! The staff provided us with life vests for the ones that were not strong swimmers like my cousin. She was very scared of the water, but I was able to convince her to come out with me for a few minutes. She hang on to the side of the pier the whole time....lol. Baby steps.

I snorkeled, paddle boarded, and kayaked. It was all included in the price of the day trip. We had an amazing time!

After a fun filled day at Ariel's Point, we headed back to Station 1 where we were picked up. We got back just in time for the perfect sunset!

If you ever find yourself in Boracay, I definitely recommend doing a day trip to Ariel's point. If you are an adventure seeker, it is a MUST!
