Adventure #6 Monster Truck Jam

      

For just one second, imagine the radio commercials with the over-the-top announcers and the heavy metal music crushing your brain announcing the upcoming Monster Truck Jam….. Now turn that up to 11 and thats what you get when you are there LIVE and in person! It is LOUD, intense and AWESOME.

The Miami New Times called it Redneck Recklessness. They put this event on the list of hillbilly awesomeness somewhere between mudding and moonshine! I think there could not have been a better way to describe this event. It was a sight to behold. The people watching was as fun as the event itself! Trucker caps, Budweiser, Cowboy hats and butt cracks. Wow!

The competition was between 16 ferociously large monster trucks with 1,500 horsepower, turbo charged engines. The star of the show was Grave Digger, one of the longest running monster trucks on the circuit, celebrating 30 years in the sport. The event is broken down into two segments, racing & freestyle. The racing was great, but the freestyle was UNBELIEBABLE! These trucks jumped 30+ feet in the air. They flipped. They crushed. They roared. And they even caught fire! The more they destroyed, the crazier the fans got. At one point, they even brought out an old fishing boat for the trucks to destroy…. after all, we were in Miami, right?!?! What a night!

This adventure exceeded my expectations. If youve never been to a Monster Truck Jam, you have to make it a point to go at least once in your life…its an adventure that you wont easily forget.
