Tomorrow Marks the EPIC Adventure on Saco River, all Captured on Video with GoPros
So tomorrow Night, Friday marks the start of the adventure that the Squad & Myself will be taking on the Saco River, in Maine
The trip will be an EPIC 25 mile excursion via water floats on the Saco River beginning near Cornish Maine.
WE WILL HAVE MULTIPLE GOPROS WITH US TO CAPTURE THE ENTIRE ADVENTURE!
My incredible Girlfriend planned this entire trip for us and is truly a natural-born leader. What a powerhouse we are!
Are y'all excited for this weekend? Weather is looking amazing, sunny and in the high to mid eighties.
So....a few things to go over.....
The plan is to meet up at River Run after we all get out of work. If anyone wishes, we can also meet up at squad house and depart from there around 5/530. River Run is in Brownfield and is about an hour away (easy to find on Google Maps) .
When you arrive, you will need to check in and pay. The reservations are under ____ ______. We will camp out Friday night, wake up Saturday and have breakfast and carpool to where we will be dropping in to float. We will be floating for the majority of the day so plan accordingly. We will carpool back to the Campsite, camp out Saturday and depart Sunday morning.
What to bring:
-Cash for camping $15 per night $30 total
-Something to float in!
-Bathing suit and clothes
-A towel, water shoes (a good idea!)
-Cash for wood/ice
-A chair or something to sit in
-A tent/sleeping bag/sleeping pad
-Alcohol!!!!
-Snacks/food for Saturday during the float
-A GOOD TIME
Please respect the leave-no-trace principal. Pick up after yourself. Don't litter in the river. If you need to go to the bathroom (#2) and were floating, pull off to the side of the river, dig a small hole and bury it. We couldn't believe how much trash there was last year. Do your part to avoid adding to the problem.
Food:
I thought it would be a good idea to do dinner and breakfast together and I can front the cost and expect payment back, I'm sure it won't be much. This will avoid too many cooks in the kitchen, unless others are bringing their own means of cooking. We have 3 fire pits and I have a small grill as well as 2 standalone burners.
For Friday night I'm thinking Burgers and Dogs. I'll get a few veggie burgers too. Then Sunday we can do kielbasa, sausage and chicken with grilled veggies. I'll also do a pasta salad and cole slaw and grab a few bags of chips. Breakfast can just be eggs, sausage, and potatoes. If this works for everyone, I'll total up the cost and get back to you. Everyone should still plan on bringing their own drinks and lunch for Saturday.
