VIDEO: Berkey Water Filters - We've Been Using Them For 8 YEARS! ~THEY RULE!
The Berkey Water Filter VIDEO
We have been using the Berkey water filter system for eight years now. The last 5 years have been off grid on our homestead. The Berkey is perfect for off grid or camping conditions where you don't have access to guaranteed clean water. It's easy, you dump the water in and clean pure water comes out. When you estimate the cost and lifetime of the filters, you're looking at around 1.5 cents PER GALLON! WOW!! Think how much people pay for water at the stores!
Not only does it work well and we've owned it long enough to say that, but the Berkey looks nice with its stainless steel appearance.
THIS IS NOT A PAID ENDORSEMENT!
Ozark summers are harsh and we live without air conditioning. We consume a LOT of water during the summer months and we needed a Berkey filter that would keep up with our demand.
We decided to upgrade to the Crown Berkey with its 6 gallon capacity to keep us refreshed during the summer. Here's to eight more years!

Right on! Don't let the globalist poison you!
LOL! Most of the water comes from rain catchment or our well. I haven't paid a water bill in 5 years.
We also began using the Berkey, about 3 years ago. We're not off the grid but are prepared.
Been using them too, What I would like is a tube, one end I can fit to regular faucet treads and the other to the filter. Backwashing the filter the way they expect us to is always PITA.
we love ours too! fav kitchen appliance hands down.
Hey Zac...how often do you have to change out the filter and what indicators let you know that it needs changed?
We've never really changed filters. They last a LONG TIME. We just pull them out and scrub them every so often...every 2-3 months or so. Then they are ready again.
Nice...I didn't know you could do that! Thanks for the info!
