West African Frontier Force

My brother never knew that the West African Frontier Force was a real thing until I visited the National War Museum on children's day. I used to think it was made up by script writers for Nkem Owoh's role in the nollywood movie "Captain".

Well, the West African Frontier Force was formed in 1900 by the British colonial office to garrison it's west African colonies of Nigeria, Gold Coast, Sierra Leone and Gambia. It was used during the First World War in 1914 and Second World War in 1934.

This country has a very rich and emotional history but instead they decided that my children and I will be kept in the dark about it.
