Lake Malawi, also known as Lake Nyasa and Lago Niassa, is an African Great Lake and the southernmost lake in the East African, located between Malawi, Mozambique and Tanzania. It is the ninth largest lake in the world and the third largest lake in Africa. It is home to more species of fish including at least 700 species of cichlids.

Cape Maclear or Chembe is a town in the Mangochi District of Malawi's Southern Region. Is on the southern shore of Lake Malawi and is the busiest resort on Lake Malawi. Cape Maclear is close to the islands of Domwe and Thumbwe on Lake Malawi, and is in Lake Malawi National Park. and it's a Tourist Destination, many tourist visit cape on December - January and June- July
