Ha Long Bay

Next location we went to discouver was the oh so known Ha Long Bay. We took the bus from Hanoi city to the stunning bay located on 2,5 hours bus trip east of Hanoi. We took a boat on which we spend the night in a very luxurious suite. Met a lot of geat people, had breakfast and lunch twice and dinner with a stunning view overlooking the breathtaking mountains of Ha Long Bay. These mountains are supposed to look like a dragon swimming in the ocean. (Long means dragon in vietnamese).
We went kayaking, visited a cave and swum between beautiful jellyfish. I recommend booking a boat which sails to the less the crowded corners of the bay and takes you to the less touristic locations of Ha Long Bay (if you're planning to visit Ha Long bay yourself). Most boat trips will take you to places where you will get overrun by crowds of tourists which will spoil your view and ruin your Ha Long Bay adventure. Overall a beautiful experiense and a must do when you visit Vietnam!
