Remember THE BIKINI GUY?

Introduction:

Hello i am arvin, a differently abled guy from ph who got a 3D printed arm by a fellow steemer @metrox the Bikini guy.
and here is my first adventure abroad thanks to this awesome guy!

How did it started:
I was surfing the web one day at mid summer(march) and thought of how about

i create a home made prosthetic arm since i have nothing to do this summer and my study will start in july. Then, i stumbled upon a site a non profit community that gives free 3D printed hand i followed their instructions on how to avail the prosthetic arm.

First i need to find the closest chapter in my location and it was in Thailand a 2987km away from PH. haha

I contacted them thru their fb page and i found this guy @metrox a fellow steemer who does not only love to wear bikini in his spare time hahaha
but he is also a volunteer who prints a 3D arm!
I sent him a message regarding about my condition and within 24hours i got a reply from him saying
He does not only agreed on making me an arm but he was too kind and took the liberty of raising funds for my plane ticket so we could do the final fitting in thailand, i wasnt prepared for this and i really am afraid of riding a plane hahaha but we raised the money and i processed all the documents that i needed for the trip.

The first Trip (got laid):
He booked me on a connecting flight Davao to Manila to Kuala Lumpur > Thailand

I arrived at the traveler hotel in KL at 0600 i rested for a while and
0900 i took a shower when i got out i was surprised that one bunkbed was occupied by a female,
i really thought i was the only one staying for the night since its late already, so she introduced herself her name was Abbie , she likes to visit temples during her holidays
and i asked her for a drink and so we did.
after few booze and chitchats the author of this blog got lucky! haha

And the day after,i thanked her by saying "Thank you for letting me visit your temple."
She laugh and replied "Awh, filipinos are interesting." We bid goodbye to each other.

Kuala Lumpur to URT(Thailand)

it was a 30 minute flight with no delays, the staffs were very accomodating during the entire flight. I arrived in URT 1230 and took 4 hours bus ride and boat to reach to Lipa Noi Pier
i was so excited, i have never been so happy and afraid at the same time hahaha!

0530 We met at the Pier, He is living in Koh Samui with his girlfriend over nearly a decade now.
Yup the bikini guy has a girlfriend. haha

And my Holiday in Koh Samui began.

1st night we got a couple of whiskeys and sharing about my trip and his ideas about the project, and went to bed at 3am drunk af.

The next day we fitted the arm

and casted some grips

And the following sums up the activities we did with the arm.

The Mojito Challenge ( The challenge we promised to our sponsors who funded the ticket haha )

We tried Jetski too , it was the ultimate test for the arm, i lost a washer but we had a spare hehe

Met some new friends

Ate some great food!
Koh Samui is a party island they got all the kinds of different food from western , greek, italian, thai, and many more.

I had a great holiday in Koh Samui, and for the bikini guy @metrox thank you for being an awesome person and introducing me to Steemit not only did i got an arm but i got a buddy whom i will treasure forever !

P.S.
We manage to raise funds and get me my own 3D printer,
soon i'll be printing 3D prosthetic arms for kids to counter bullying
imagine how it could change the hardship of being a kid with the same situation like me .
