The Art of Collecting

This time I present a figure of Action Man, they are articulated, emulate secret agents and extreme athletes, leaving aside the traditional aggressive concepts and they were born for the European market in 1966. Since then many replicas have come out, such as you appreciate in the image, this one is specifically from the year 2006, made in China, and came out with a series of uniforms of the time. The one that you appreciate in the photos came to its collector in 2012, covering his expectations based on his personal collection. However, his desire was to adapt uniforms used by Venezuelan army officers in the 70s until the late 80s and which was phased out in the 90s. Made up of a black tie, plain long sleeve shirt, 4-pocket jacket and plain trousers, but as a special request of the collector the colored lines that can be observed were added.
Personally, it was a challenge to create such a suit, due to the immaculate color and details of the uniform, without forgetting the fact that I have this figure under my custody, of such sentimental value and historical journey, because, beyond being a European emulation of spy, its owner, in each opportunity adapts it in function to the patriotic dates of Venezuela, doing parade with other pieces. On this occasion, he chose the white uniform to commemorate the development and presence of our uniforms of that time for upcoming events. As you can see, collecting is a discipline too, where creativity, ingenuity and skills are combined to achieve results like these.

I can't imagine how difficult it must have been to sew such a small suit, @afrikablr! And to keep clean such a white fabric! You did a great job with it. One reason I selected your article for curation is the uniqueness of what you are doing.
