The notion that "history" is derived from "his-story" is beyond laughable... History is an ancient (and modern) Greek word and it means knowledge. The whole idea was that the facts sourounding an incident were revealed through investigation, as opposed to relying on heresay, mythos or tradition. This is why it was called history (knowledge). It had nothing to do with sex or gender or any of that. And the word is not originally English!! So the whole attempt of explaining its meaning using English etymology is idiotic to begin with.
