The Fiji Social and cultural club of South Australia (FSCCSA) in Adelaide organised a fundraiser on 19 May to help those affected by the recent floods in Fiji, one of the worst the country has experienced. The night included Bollywood Dances, Fiji Meke and the crowd even took part in some Antakshari. The community loves to get together to enjoy great food and Fiji hospitality. It was the best mix of the Indian and islander culture.

All proceeds from the function themed “Aaj KI Shaam Fiji ke Naam” will go to Vishiva Hindu Parishad (VHP Fiji). Also known as the Hindu Council of Fiji, it has been working in the communities of Fiji since 2010 and has been a team of dedicated and committed volunteers around Fiji. VHP were ready on ground to provided warm meals and drinking water right from the onset of the flooding, which resulted the loss of life and property.
