.....My Addiction
We all have an addiction. Whether it be good or bad, we have one. For me, music is my addiction, especially reggae. I go to at least 40 concerts a year. What makes going to shows so special are the people that go with me. Sometimes my friends go but two people are always there with me. My beautiful fiancee, Skylar and my dad, Tommy. I believe music is part of the reason my bond with each of them is so strong. Over the years we have seen our favorite bands together, laughed together, sang together, and even gotten to hang out with a bunch of them! I know we will continue making these memories together. If you have someone one your life that you want to be closer with, try bonding through music. There is so much love and positive energy in reggae. Go see for yourself! Here are some of the greatest moments in my life! The order is from me when I was 17 to now, 23.
Are you sure you are addicted to music and reggae music in particular? Usually an addiction is something that we do that brings negative consequences because it rules our life. For example work...a work addiction would bring unbalance to a person. From your post you seem to have found something that is fun and you enjoy doing it with people that you love!
Addiction does not have to be negative. Positive Addiction - a concept based upon the presumption that some life activities wherein an individual feels a requirement or impulse to engage, like meditation or exercise.
The addiction comes into play when a person engages in an act or activity that they feel compelled to do and it interferes with their regular or ordinary responsibilities. If going to concerts stops you from earning a living and thus puts you in peril of losing everything then it could be considered addictive. There are lots of activities that we can engage in or things we can ingest that are good for us but too much can become bad. The point is that if the thing takes over then it can be considered an addiction.
