Hello to the entire steemit community!!
Continuing with the series poetry speaks, in this second post I come with the same intention, define some terms used in poetry that allow us, from a subtle language to make the description of situations or objects among other functions, giving it a characteristic and distinctive touch of colloquial language.
The word that we will define today will be: Avid
When we look it up in the dictionary of the Real Academia Española
, it first indicates that it is an adjective and that its meaning is: Anxious, greedy
To this I would add that you are avid is the person in need of...
To embellish the writing it is important to know new words, if we write only with the common language that indicates, the writer's little reading, thing that to simple sight is usually noticed and even catalogued of -poor- the writing, due to the deficiency to express the images or ideas inside the poem, tale, text, among other literary modes, for more effort that has been realized in the construction of the same one.
Reading is extremely important in this; reading invites us to enter into the marvelous world of the word that they wear and adorn. Finally I will leave you a beautiful poem by the poet Alejandra Pizarnik, one of the women poets I read the most, this poem was published in her book Los trabajos y las noches 1965.
An abandoned fire kills its light.
A bird in love climbs its song.
So many avid creatures in my silence
and this little rain that accompanies me.
With this we end for today hoping that you have been of great use this post
Until a next opportunity, we're reading each other.
