Adam and Eve's Third Son

You read it right. Adam and Eve had a third son named Seth. (KJV Gen 4:26)

We are familiar with the story of Caan and Abel. Sibel rivalry went horribly wrong. The jealousy which Caan felt toward Abel was sad. I know as a parent we love our children equally. We don't put one over another. Yet Caan felt a tinge of jealousy that got out of control and he killed his twin. We don't know if they were identical or fraternal twins. However, at some point, Adam and Eve were blessed with a third son and a second chance at parenting.

Now how many of y'all knew about this third son? I didn't. I took time and read the first five chapters of Genesis recently and boom. That info came to light. I say this because growing up we are told about Caan and Abel. No one ever talks about Seth. Seriously, all the years I went to church with my parents no pastor ever mentioned Seth.

This is why we as adults need to ask questions. We should read for ourselves. We need to think about things a man says for ourselves. Even at the risk of being accused of being a non-believer. I say this to you, learn the Bible for yourself. Understand it and with the internet research it.

If anyone accuses you of being a non-believer for questioning them, ask them, did God not give you a brain? Use it. Learn, study, and understand his word.
